Finishing up the school year

What a crazy, crazy year it has been.  Both boys have done extremely well with school, sports and scouts this year, considering the circumstances.

The weather is definitely becoming more conducive to scout campouts. These scouts sure know how to construct a campfire.  This one looks like an architecture project!

That is Conner with the white sash, welcoming new scouts to the troop.  He has served as Senior Patrol Leader this year and helped the troop through Covid.  He will be working his tail off this summer to satisfy all his Eagle requirements before he turns 18.

Thank goodness for warmer weather.  It seems like a very long time ago we were stuck inside with frigid temps.  Smink is really loving being outside, and with some supervision she is willing to stay within her rather tight backyard boundaries.

We almost broke a weather record this month with 9 straight days of rain.  10 is the record, and we got 10 in 11 days.  Crazy!  One day, the CNMs decided to explore the flooding one block east of us and a neighbor took this pic.

When it rains, we revert back to the activity that got us through a frigid February.  Seriously, the Marsh family can power through a 1,000 piece puzzle like it was Fisher Price.

Daddy, Uncle Ted and Aunt Heather all wished Grandma a very happy Mother's Day this month.  We will end the month with a trip to Aunt Heather's lake house.  Another example of the return of regular activities!
