Basketballs and goofballs

Happy early holidays, everyone! the Marsh fam is jazzed about Christmas 2011. The boys are checking out Daddy's KU tree on an evening that Santa visited campus. The special glasses Carson is wearing make every light magically glow with a "happy holidays" message.

Kitty in a box! We have such wonderful neighbors in Old West Lawrence. They helped us immensely during the house project. The kitty in the box is Roscoe, one of two cats who live with Ernie and Tricia across the street. The cats and the boys are very fond of each other.

Conner in a box! Goofing off at Riley's house. We spent quite a bit of time at Riley's house this summer when we had no kitchen. We promise this is not how we keep the boys skinny. It was a bit of an effort getting Conner back out of this box...

This, on the other hand, is one of the ways the boys stay fit. Here is Carson celebrating the completion of his first marathon!! The boys' school sponsors a program that has the kids run around a half-mile track a couple times after school. Once they've done it 52 times, we celebrate!

Not too long after Carson finished, Conner did as well. It was a bit colder the day we celebrated with Conner! Mummy was the faithful facilitator of the program's evaluation system. The kids got a check mark on their hand from Mummy every time they circled the course. We figure that is no fewer than 4,000 marks!

The Angry Chickens!! Both boys are finishing up basketball season. Daddy was assistant coach for both teams. We haven't completely mastered the triangle offense or the 2-3 zone defense yet, but it has been a lot of fun.

And here are some goofballs posing for their team pic. With basketball and cub scouts, we were running about almost every evening. It compromised our routine of getting the boys to bed at 7 p.m., but really how much longer can that last? (as long as we can get away with it, for sure!)

More goofballs! Sorry we didn't offer any updated pics of the house. That will surely come when we post about Christmas. And the NYE Kras Connection will be at our house this year! Happy Holidays everyone.
