And winter comes in like a lion!

We thought 2018 would be the first year the boys were too cool for costumes.  Thank you, Carson for joining your friends at the last minute with Daddy's old Dracula outfit.  Yes, he is with three inflatable dinosaurs...

We were cheated out of our usual lovely spring this year, with summer immediately following winter.  Now we are afraid that we will be cheated out of fall, with winter having already hit us hard.  First snowfall of over three inches in several years.  Here is Conner wearing one grandfather's coat and the other grandfather's hat.

Carson did an unprecidented three 5k races in less than three weeks.  Strong finishes in each, headlined by his 21st place finish in the Thanksgiving day race out of 1,126 runners!

The Veterans Day 5k is the only one he has done several years in a row. Daddy helps start the race by doing the Anthem and playing Taps.  Carson came in 5th this time, out of about 350 runners.

And here is Mummy cheering him on during the TJ5K that was held close to the Baker Wetlands.  He loves these races, and they are getting him some attention from the running community.  Just so happens that the length of a high school cross country race is 5k...

And here is out master fisherman.  Or should we say Master Angler.  Conner went to our local lake with a serious fisherman (who writes an article for a fishing mag) and caught this 17" white bass.  Turns out, if you catch one of these babies that is over 16", you can send in a picture and apply to become a Master Angler.  Now Conner will have a certificate that says what we already know!
