2015 Spring Break revisited

Would you believe our seventh year on the Sandbar float for the St Patricks Day parade?  This year was an Uptown Funk theme, so we dressed in kind of a mix of 70s and 80s.  But more on that later...

The real highlight of this year's spring break was a three day trip to Omaha, with the expressed purpose of seeing the Omaha zoo for the first time.

There was a small amount of relaxation, but mainly an energetic, speedy few days of adventure.  We stayed in a nice hotel with a pool. (thanks to Catherine!)

We went with our Kras Connection, the Parracks.  Tony couldn't join us, unfortunately, but it helped the ladies at least a bit with the guy/girl ratio.

The zoo lived up to all expectations.  We had heard it rivaled the San Diego zoo as the best in the country.  Here is Conner tickling a river monster.  The aquarium was a favorite for him.

This is a group of monkeys watching a group of monkeys.  It was in "the jungle," which was pretty much the coolest exhibit.  What a fantastic, wonderful trip!!

Here is most of the Sandbar float while we were waiting to join the parade.  If you look closely, you'll see two little studs peeking out of the tallest part of the float.  They helped paint the yellow trim around the windows.

Still waiting...  Every year, the Sandbar float blows away anything else in the parade, so we are usually among the last to go by.  We are so lucky the Johannings allow us to be a part of this great tradition.  It was a special spring break.  We'll leave you with a shot of the CNM studs as we approach the Mass St. crowd.
