Monkeys and birthdays

Hey there! Long time no post! The leaves are falling, the days are getting shorter and school is in full swing. We hope your autumn has started well.

Here is the Kras Connection. We got to spend some quality time with Ben and Chris Parrack last month. Above, the boys are playing at Ben's 4th birthday. For most of the month of October, the Kras Connection will always be the same age! We also had a super-duper time with the Parracks at their annual bonfire. We camped out with them and had a blast.

Happy Halloween! You might recognize these costumes from last year. Too cute not to use again, although you'll see they were a bit highwater. The two monkeys enjoyed trick or treating around the neighborhood, and wearing their monkey suits to pre-school and even up on campus at Daddy's office.

Here is five year-old Conner, cheesin for the camera. Looks like he is ready for Mardi Gras. Really, he's just cheering for the Jayhawks during game day. The boys went with Daddy to this year's Homecoming game, and actually made it all the way to halftime!

Happy b-day to both boys. Carson very specifically asked for a chocolate cake, with chocolate icing and chocolate sprinkles. You guess what kind of ice cream...

Here's the extended Marsh side of the family after Aunt Heather gave a piano concert. We got to see both sides in the last month. We said goodbye to Grandma Wiley last week. Carson asked if Mummy was going to drive her to heaven. We say goodnight to all the grandparents and great-grandparents every night before bedtime.

We keep thinking this won't last, but since we came home two years ago, the boys have loved shoveling snow and raking leaves. They are pictured above, having helped Grandma fill fifteen bags full of locust beans.

Here we are saying goodbye to the little red wagon. It went back to the Shumway's house, and they traded us for two big-boy scooters. So cool! Both boys are learning to ride a bike without training wheels, which goes a little slower, but teaches them balance from the beginning. We hope you've had a great early fall, and we promise not to wait so long in between blogs anymore!
