Camp Birchwood!!

Second summer for Camp Birchwood!  An amazing destination in the boundary waters of Minnesota.  After a flight to Minneapolis and a van ride to the lake, they boys took a canoe to the campsite.

What a beautiful spot!  The boys were there for two weeks, giving Mummy and Daddy some time for other endeavors, including a wedding for cousin Spencer in Key West!

The group was split into cabins, primarily by age.  So Conner and Carson had a different group of bunkmates.  They were well fed!

Lots of water activities, and thankfully the weather cooperated.  Kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, and even some solo sailing!

Let's get serious, for Conner it was all about the fishing.  Here he is ready to embark on a three day fishing adventure.  They left the camp behind and stayed in tents during the trip.

Carson did a similar outing, but his was focused on hiking a trail just off the campsite.  Again, a multi-night excursion where they brought everything with them.

Here is proof that there was sailing.  And if you look real close, you'll see that Conner is handling that big old canoe by himself.

Two cool accessories on the lake were this rope swing and a waterslide.  No pics of the waterslide unfortunately, but we heard it was pretty sweet.

We're not sure if either boy considered the skits among their favotie activities, but here is pictoral evidence that Conner enjoyed a part of them even if Carson was not maintaining focus.

Here is something Carson maintained strong focus on.  Wagga ball, or something like that.

The boys came back in one piece, and had some really good stories to tell.  They'll have a few days at home, then off to Harvey's Lake.  Several customers will be expecting yardwork to be completed while they are home.  Maybe we can report on that next month!
