Happy birthday Conner, and Happy Halloween!

Those four candles just didn't stand a chance. Yes, he is winding up to blow them out, not singing happy birthday to himself! If you want to hear him sing, check out this awesome YouTube video of him doing the KU Alma Mater. Daddy promises he did not lock him in a dark room until he learned it!

So, Conner's birthday this weekend was shared with the same intimate crew that helped Carson celebrate his last month. The boys, their parents, grandparents and GeeGee had a very nice time. His b-day will always come during the same week as Halloween, but we'll be sure never to combine the celebrations.

"But what are they going to be for Halloween?!" That's the usual response when we tell folks they are monkeys. Pretty awesome costumes, huh? The boys get over-the-top giddy when we let them wear them. It will be fun to parade them around the neighborhood. Daddy has already offered to dispose of the extra chocolate they receive...

We tried something new two weekends ago. Camping! Our Kras Connection, the Parracks, have a bonfire every fall on their property south of Kansas City. Mummy loves not camping, so the CNMs gave her a rare night off. The boys got to sleep in the back of the Jeep, while Daddy slept next to them in a tent. Well, Daddy lay in a tent next to them. Didn't sleep much. The boys did just fine, though, and loved playing with Ben and Chris into the night and having yummy breakfast with them the next morning. Check out more pics here.

The pumpkin patch was a fun afternoon. The boys were allowed to pick out any pumpkin they wanted...as long as they could carry it themselves! They enjoyed the hay ride behind the tractor almost as much as picking the pumpkin. Be sure to notice the message on their shirts, because it is very true that they love their Mummy!

We'll leave you with this pic that we feel should grace the cover of Toddler GQ. Unbiased opinion... The boys made it in to our local paper again, with a short story about our visit to the Lawrence Arboretum. Here's the link. We hope you all have a wonderful early fall, and we'll check back in before Thanksgiving!
