Go Jayhawks!!

Some of you have been wondering why we haven't blogged for so long. Others know exactly why. Life has been pretty exciting in Lawrence, KS the last couple weeks!

Our friend and neighbor Mike Wildgen took this random picture of the parade, and accidently got the boys in the background. Click on the pic, start at the "N" of national champion, and head towards the top of the picture. You'll see two happy boys yelling for Sasha Kaun (who is from Siberia).

How much do Conner and Carson love the 2008 national champion KU basketball team? Hard to say. But they know that Mummy and Daddy are pretty stoked, and they've enjoyed the parties that have ensued. Here they are, with their crimson and blue dyed melons preparing for the welcome home ceremony at the football stadium!

The boys have also started really enjoying the spring, and all the cool stuff coming to life in our yard. Look closely in the picture above to see what comes up in March just in time for the ncaa tournament. Yup, crimson and blue flowers!!!

KU shirts, KU colored Crocs, KU basketball bead neclaces...who buys them all this stuff??? We live very close to Mass St. which is where the primary celebrations went on. The boys kept asking if they could go to "the party." They have also been REALLY enjoying the construction going on right outside our house. Check out this link to see the boys getting interviewed about our street getting re-bricked.

This picture doesn't seem to belong, and maybe it doesn't. But we want to lodge a formal complaint about the lack of warm weather this early spring. It feels like we've had more late snowy weather than early sunny weather. This is just a pic that Shams, our next door neighbor gave us this month and thought it would be fun to include.

Sure, there has been a bit of warm weather. Enough to break out the bubbles and have some fun outside. We really, really look forward to more consistant warmth so we can break out even more fun stuff like shorts, flip flops, and even swimsuits.

Check out the cool overalls! Aunt Bernita offered to get these for the boys because they reminded her of the overalls her father wore way back when. Hope you are having an overall great start to your spring, and GO JAYHAWKS!!
