The big hole!

Hey there! Summer is in full swing, and we have a very big hole in our back yard. The boys are loving the heavy equipment. Does that suprise you?!

As much as they want to be in the midst of the construction activity, we are trying to find other things for them to do, so as not to be underfoot. Above, Conner is checking out a squirrel who is checking out him. "What chu doin in my tree?!"

Appropriate wetsuits for Memorial Day, yes? This is just before the CNMs headed for the water at Aunt Heather and Uncle Brad's lake. The water was a bit cold, but they loved the swimming, tubing and boat riding.

Daddy works in the student union building. The boys think they own it. Here they are dancing on the stage of the main auditorium. It is actually a dance they called the Donut Dance, in honor of national donut day. Wish you could have seen it live...

Ok, here is the back yard. So much excitement! Here they are digging the big hole. We moved our beloved fish pond further towards the back of the yard, and we're crossing our fingers that it and the boxwood garden both survive the project.

These guys could not be more excited about the whole thing. The nice man who dug the hole let them climb all over the bulldozer. And you know they are climbing all over the dirt mound. We just got the foundation walls poured, which was another hit with the boys. We'll have pics of that in the next entry.

Boys and Girls Club, KU Sports Camp, baseball practice... the boys are having a very busy summer. As are their chauffeurs--I mean parents. They are definitely sleeping well! This might be one of the last pictures of their small bedroom since they move in to our room once the addition is done.

Just days ago, the boys got another cousin. Here is Gamilee (great-grandmother) holding Faith Lewis. Welcome to the fam, Faith!
