Happy New Year!

How is it that we are only 300+ days away from the year 2020?  Mummy and Daddy remember a day when that signified "the future."  Like flying cars and robots that do everything for you...

Well, the future is now, and the CNMs spent the early days of 2019 enjoying their new Christmas gifts.  Above, they are working together on Conner's new bike.  A rare photo, to be sure.

Carson decided he really needed a couch in his room.  His parents didn't share that view, but he bought it with Christmas money and we have to admit, it fits nicely.  Folds out, too, in case he hosts a sleepover.

So one day, Mummy sends Daddy a frantic text asking where her wedding ring is.  No clue!  Surely a child would not have taken it or hidden it or misplaced it or...  Later in the stress-filled day, we asked both boys once school let out. We learned that Carson had placed it on top of the queen's crown (not a shabby spot for it) and neglected to put it back in its rightful place.  Funny, not funny.

All three CNMs attended a cool MLK Jr Day breakfast this month.  It is too bad they aren't pictured above, because it is a stellar crew.  Third from the left is the director of Kansas City's Negro League Museum, and 2nd from the right is the vocalist for Doc Severinsen's band! Last but not least, the first person on the right is Bernie Kish, who was the boys' grandfather's boss in the Army.

There are definitely some changes ahead for the Marsh crew.  Just before the holidays, Daddy learned his position is being cut from KU's budget.  He is really worried that might spell the end of a very important KU program.  And it might mean he takes a job with more hours away from home.  But KU has always taken care of the family, and we are certain that won't change!
