The final days of summer

Conner has his learner's permit, and Carson just finished driving school, so here they are sharing the car we got for them while they complete their one year with a restricted license...

Road Scholar time for Carson!  Grandma took him to Puerto Rico for snorkeling and other adventures.

The big question this time was, "is the water going to be clear?"  Yes, it is clear that the water was clear.  Some serious snorkeling for the whole group.

Grandma has been up for every single adventure that Road Scholar has thrown her way.  The CNMs have each done four of these programs, and her other five grandchildren have done as many too.  She is amazing!!

Did we mention how clear the water was?  Beautiful.  Carson was even credited for helping save one of the grandparents who got confused and a bit panicked when his equipment malfunctioned.

There were five boys and two girls.  The accommodations were lovely, both on land and sea.  Among the wildlife sighted while snorkeling was a sea turtle and a barracuda!

This may be the last Road Scholar trip for either boy.  It has been nothing short of spectacular for them.  There are fewer options for 15+ year olds, and both CNMs have asked if they can just be with Grandma in Marco instead.

Carson has gotten most of the last two entries.  Here is our fisherman doing what he most wanted this summer.  Marvin Hunt has a home with two fishing ponds, so Conner tested them out.

And here is a beauty he caught in the stream that runs off the Clinton Spillway.  His days since Camp Brichwood have been spent dong yardwork for several neighbors and lots of fishing.  School starts tomorrow, and we'll have two high schoolers!!!
