Heading towards the holidays

How about a quick Throwback Thursday picture to a couple goofballs wearing wetsuits and jeans?

Conner continues his involvement in boy scouts.  We keep saying he is close to working on his eagle rank.  Close is a subjective measure, right?  Here he is helping hang shelves at our local homeless shelter.  It is for another scout's eagle project.

The gar in the Kaw River are stuff of legend.  We've seen skeletons of some huge ones on the banks.  This is the first time he has caught one, and while it is not a river monster it is certainly impressive!

Carson was able to extend cross country season one more week by running with three of his varsity buddies in the Thanksgiving Day 5K.  The skimpy outfits were not really parent-approved since it was in the 30s that morning.

Despite the cold, Carson got a personal record of 18:03 which was good enough for 15th out of well over 1,000 runners.  He has started winter conditioning which happens every day but Wednesday after school.  Brrr!

The three CNMs visited Grandma the day before turkey day.  She is puppy sitting for Uncle Ted so we got to hang out with Sadie who is a pretty darn good lap dog.  Christmas is around the corner, so happy holidays!!!
