Happy birthday, Carson!

Carson turned three today! For just over one month, there will be two three year-olds in the house. Wow! It was a very good birthday for our little man. He shares his birthday with KU, by the way. He turned three, and KU turned 141.

For Carson's two-year birthday party, he blew out one candle on a cup cake. (Keep in mind, we had been home for less than three weeks.) This time, he got three candles on a nice big cake, with homemade "brrrr-cold ice cream" which he and Conner helped Mummy make!

The boys' friend Chloe gave Carson a very cool indoor/outdoor tent.

And their grandparents gave Carson a puzzle filled with their favorite heavy machinery.

By the end of the party, which consisted of Mema, Grandpa, Gee-Gee and Grandma, the boys were ready to sit on the couch with Grandpa and read one of their cool new books. What a big day!

Conner has become quite the artist. Here, he displays "Rainbow, in Pastels on Concrete." If you look really hard, you can see the letter "A" he drew on the other side. He is transitioning from purely abstract images to some really well-drawn letters and shapes. Both boys are doing surprisingly well at blowing notes on the trumpet that Uncle Brad loaned to us. Such talent!

Here is the awesome Kras Connection. From left, Ben, Chris, Conner and Carson got to play together over the weekend. The Parracks were bravely willing to watch all four boys while Mummy and Daddy had a rare evening out. Well, a couple hours out. The boys played very well together, and are becoming great friends. They hugged each other before saying goodbye, with all four parents beaming.
