Super Summertime

Well, we only skipped two months this time, but we have real CNM pictures to share! Summer is in full swing, and there is news for both boys. Conner caught a whopper of a catfish with his friend Preston. He spent time in Minnesota with one of his professors doing tests on water quality. A very cool adventure prior to his final year at KU.

Carson secured an internship with the KU Innovation Park. It is a technology business incubator which employs interns to help in the valuation of tech start-ups, assisting them in attracting investors.

Not the best pic, but important to document that Uncle Sean returned to KU to keynote a ceremony for the retirement of KU's Navy ROTC director. Dad got to sing the Anthem and play the Navy Hymn on trumpet during the ceremony, which the retiring officer labeled "a Bailey family reunion."

Here we are with our dear friend Sue Hack who encouraged Carson to apply for Leadership Lawrence. We did not realize it would be her last year as director of the program, but we are so happy Carson got to take part in the program before she retired.

Harvey's Lake only included one CNM this year, but it was still a nice event. Uncle Dan pulled together a small ceremony for our country's 250th. We sang the Anthem and raised the flag that was on Boppa's casket. It had been in a closed frame since his funeral in 1991.
