Thanksgiving in the new house!

Happy holidays everyone! The Marsh fam had lots to be thankful for this year. Our home addition project is pretty much buttoned up, and just in time to host 14 for Thanksgiving dinner!

Yes, there was a kids table. And here are the CNMs posing with their cousins Kyleigh and Alex. What kind of turkey is that on the table, you may ask? A Baskin Robbins one!

Here is your first look at the new kitchen/dining room. We are so excited to be moved in to the space! Some cabinet work remains, and lots of painting which we chose to do ourselves to save some cash. But everything is nice and open and we are loving it!

Looks like some folks were ready for this shot and others weren't! But it's a good look at the bountiful feast. Some of the goodness was brought by members of the family, lots was prepared by awesome Chef Mummy in her lovely new kitchen!

In fact, we didn't even wait till the cabinets were in...

Just as the construction was finishing up, Mummy and Daddy left both boys for the first time ever to fly to Gamilee's house in D.C. We are prepping to sell her beautiful place and brought many family heirlooms back to the newly finished addition. Here is Carson welcoming us home!

Life goes on in and around the addition project. The boys are doing well in school, still running with their Marathon Club, playing basketball and doing scouts. Nothing like a handsome guy in uniform, right?

Check out the physiques of these dudes as they do sit-ups! Strong little fellas.

Fall 2011 has been packed full of excitement. We look forward to the Christmas holiday in a newly expanded house. We owe you pics of the upstairs, where we've all gotten new bedrooms and a big new playroom. We'll leave you with another pic of downstairs where the boys are being artistic.

Conner's b-day and much, much more

Eight years old??? No way! These boys simply have to stop growing up so fast. We had a great party for our little second grader. Those are blueberries in case you're wondering...

He got a zhu zhu pet, Transformers stuff, Legos kits, and even a pottery wheel. Cleaned house as usual and had a great time. Looks like a grown up kid in the pic, don't you think?

Nothing like an oversized sombrero to make a kid look small again. Here we are at the boys' favorite restaurant El Mezcal enjoying his birthday dinner.

Mummy and Carson grinning for the camera. Have we mentioned yet that Carson finally lost his first teeth? Took a while, but he now can drink from a straw with his mouth closed tight. Even his baby teeth are pretty tightly squeezed in there, so we may need to start a braces savings account!

First Halloween with costumes that have fake muscles! What a hit they were. Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. Good looking little dudes.

The boys made huge points with Daddy when they came home after trick or treating, emptied their bags and gave him every piece of chocolate candy. Awesome! They said, "Here Daddy, we know the ones in the square orange wrappers are your favorite."

The summer weather wasn't very conducive to getting out on the Kaw River bikes trails this year, but we finally got there with our friends Ernie and Trisha (and photographer Mike). That is a pretty goofy looking bike helmut you have on there, Daddy.

It has been amazing to watch the boys improve each year on the trails. They get stronger and more brave with the big hills. This year, we did the entire 8+ mile track and they were ready for more!

Well, we owe you pics of the fun Parrack bonfire and the boys' scouting and sports activities this fall. We of course owe you an update on the house too, since we are only a week or two away from done. Easily the busiest time of the year, so stay tuned!
