Ushering in 2014
Happy 2014 everyone! It has been a pretty chilly winter so far, but we managed to sneak in a trip to Grandma's house on a day that was just warm enough to explore the woods behind her house for the first time. It was a blast and it will surely be a more regular part of our Grandma visits from now on.
The annual Kras Connection New Year's Party!! This marks the seventh year our families have convened for this fun event. Only the second time that the Marsh fam has hosted. We love spending the holiday with the Parracks and with four boys that lived together before they came home with us.
One bear scout, one Webelos scout. The new school has caused a split allegiance with our cub scout troops. Carson has switched to the St. John's school troop and Conner has stayed with his old troop.
Conner's Pinewood Derby was held early and this was an award winning year for him! He went to the finals with what we decided was a fast-back Mustang design. Which is impressive since he crafted the design and paint scheme without knowing what a 60s fastback looked like... Carson will race his black bullet designed car in February.
Have you played Apples to Apples? What a fabulous card game. Highly recommend it. Here we have six neighborhood boys (the seventh is just out of view taking this pic with his phone) enjoying a round on a very chilly January day.
The college b-ball season is in full swing! Conner is still a fan of not going to the games due to the unhealthy decibal level. But Carson and Daddy have gone to a handful of games together. A very proud moment for Coach Daddy when Carson surveyed the court and said, "Wow, that was a great screen!"
Here's hoping the remainder of the winter will be mild with maybe one or two non-school threatening snow storms. Maybe Punxatawny Phil won't see his shadow this weekend...
