Fishing, running, scouting...
It took a little extra time for true spring weather to arrive this year. In fact, today's high will be in the 80s and later this week the lows are in the 30s... that creates some challenges for outdoor activities!
But indoor activities are still going strong! Both boys are still enjoying cub scouts. Conner became a Webelos scout this year, and Carson is on his heals as a Bear scout.
Carson is still tearing up the local racing circuit. Here he is on the KU campus with 300 other runners in the Hilltop Hustle 5K. He took 2nd in his age group, then turned right around and was the 2nd overall finisher in the family 1K.
Fishing! A new love for the fellas. the boys learned to fish in the Harvey's Lake boathouse where you watch the fish take your bait...so this has been a bit of a transition.
Our Old West Lawrence neighborhood continues to be a wonderful component of our family life. Here we are at a house party with just a subset of the extended OWL crew.
Jean Shoemaker threw the OWL party, and this is the back of her house. The boys enjoy playing basketball on her court and she loves having them. Carson's buddy Ben played such good defense on this play, the ball is nowhere in site!
Mummy and Daddy wish these boys would stop growing up so fast! We're just weeks away from the end of 2nd and 3rd grade! They are outgrowing the grandparents tricycles, but found an ingenious way to continue riding them. Enjoy the beautiful spring, everyone!
