Bring on the Fall season
As weird as it seems to have one high schooler instead of two, the season has started and Carson's cross country activities have kicked in. With his new focus on weightlifting, his distance running has suffered a bit. But he is still mixing it up with this huge group of runners.
Here he is in the top 20 of the junior varsity group. He medaled during this race that was run in Baldwin, a track that he has done well on for several years.
Just a couple running buddies. The sock and shoe color choices are unique for two of the three.
Down to Aunt Heather's lake for Labor Day. Conner had been doing the college thing for just a couple weeks, and it was great to have him back. The drive from his school is about 4 hours, which is ok for a long weekend, but not much less.
Conner tried wakeboarding! What a cool shot, right? He would be the first to admit to you, this picture was taken during the few moments he was successfully waking...
Just a couple weeks later, Dad got to visit Conner at his school in Rolla. Fishing is going great, Calculus is not. We're hoping the fishing can take a bit of a back seat, so that classes can make a comeback.
Dad would want everyone to know it is fun to be a KU fan right now. He made it on to ESPN for a few seconds cheering on the football team. Go Hawks!
