School, Scouts and XC
Big, big month for the CNMs. In the last entry, we mentioned that it had been 15 years since we became a family. This pic was sent to us by the boys' day care provider and we thought it was too cute not to share!
Yup! It happened. Conner convened a couple scouts, his parents and his grandparents and knocked out his eagle scout project in one long, hot day of work. A big shout out to Grandpa for this one.
You won't see a fancier sandbox. The top folds back to create two benches for the St. Johns preschoolers to enjoy. The water table isn't pictured, but it is impressive too. Now Conner has three weeks to complete all the paperwork. Fingers crossed!
This guy has been waking up at 4am on school days to work at the downtown gym. His parents think he is crazy, but he enjoys the work.
He had a quiet 17th birthday with a family celebration. Conner bought him this cool muscle massager that helps after grueling XC practices or workouts at the gym.
Carson got inducted in to National Honor Society this month. Here he is at the ceremony with his buddy and fellow pink shirt wearer, Micah. Below are some shots of his September XC races.
He medaled at his first race, and has been an important part of the varsity team this year. Just a couple more races before regionals and hopefully state. For the record, his parents drove 3 hours to Omaha to watch his 20 minute race and turn around to drive 3 hours back. That has to be worth a couple brownie points...
Last but not least, a decent sized house project has begun. The falling apart, unsafe front steps are being deconstructed and a new lovely front stoop will be put in their place. The Mulhurn kids were happy to assist with the demo! Happy Fall, everyone.
