Everything's opening up
A rare smiling photo of Conner-man. We think his brother tricked him into this pose, but we love it, so it opens the April 2021 entry. Nice weather is making us all smile!
Track season is in full swing. Because of stupid Covid, this is our first experience with high school track. Thankfully, many of the meets have been in Lawrence. This pic is of Carson running the 3200 meters. He stayed with the pack till the very last turn and then kicked hard for a personal record 10:35.
Hah! Caught you taking a picture of your abs! Busted. Although, if you had something like that going on, you might shoot a couple pics too...this dude works out in our basement "gym" pretty much every day.
The cats are enjoying the spring weather too. They are getting a little demanding of being let outside, which is tricky for us because we restrict their boundaries to a small portion of the backyard. You know how much cats enjoy being restricted.
Check this out! A snowstorm in late April. Not unheard of in Kansas, but this one dumped almost three inches total. Completely melted by afternoon, so we couldn't complain too loudly. Do you see the snow-covered tulips somewhat hidden in the picture?
Dad really needs to shed some winter weight. He realized that if the lawn needed about 30 minutes of watering, and he needed about 30 minutes of "Gazelling," there were some efficiencies to be had...
The whole family is excited about things opening up. School and scouts are back to in-person for Conner, Mom and Dad are both going into work part of the day, and we are back to visiting friends and neighbors at an appropriate distance. We are very excited to be planning a trip to Harvey's Lake this year with the extended fam. This is a Cuzbro Zoom meeting to begin the planning process.
