Our Tenth Gotcha Day!
How can it be? Seriously, how can it be? We became a family on August 8, 2006. You can even check the archives. :-)
We lost Gamilee three days ago. She was amazing, and is pictured here with CNM III and Uncle Dan. They were in France at time.
We had a crazy weekend in preparatin for Gotcha Day. First the CNMs ventured with Uncle Ted to the Johnson County Fair. Check out the kiddos in the huge tractor!
Can't go to the fair without funnel cake. Or some kind of equally healthy snack on a stick.
Bet you haven't ever been covered in corn kernels! Actually, if you look closely it is some other kind of agricultural kernel that we can't identify. Also you'll see we carefully uncovered the Jayhawk...
Our first ever Demolition Derby! It was so cool. Cars crashing into each other like it was the end of the world. Here is one called Phog that just wouldn't give up. Even when phog was rolling out of its hood!
Next day, thanks to Jilly and Ronan, we headed to Zip KC for a wonderful zipline adventure. Even took the school bus up the hill.
There were four seperate lines, each seemed to be more intense than the one before. Here is Conner starting out on the third one.
They also had sasquatch tours. Sure enough, we discovered two of them right on the trail! They look eerily similar to the CNMs though.
Here is Carson finishing the fourth and longest line. We zipped over the treetops, which is not something you expect to do in Kansas! It was so dang fun.
So, here are our two heros. Ten years older than they were the day we took them out of a Siberian orphanage in order to create the Marsh family. So proud of them. Thanks to those of you out there who have served as our support structure for the last ten years!
