And...poof! Summer is gone. It was a good one for the Marsh fam. Conner caught a true prize winner of a bass at the Parrack's pond. Lots of fishing this summer.
And Carson got third in his age group at the Head for the Cure race in KC. It was a huge race, and he got a cool medal. Maybe not real bronze...
Two goofballs ready to start another year at St. John Elementary. We have finished our first two weeks of class and the boys are doing well.
Cosmic Jump! What a blast. An hour or two at this place and the boys are guaranteed to sleep well. Here is Conner charging into one of their huge inflatables.
And here is Carson taking someone out in a game of trampoline dodgeball. Both boys excelled at this game and spent almost an hour just in this corner. Three highlights: 1) Conner was the last boy standing in no fewer than 3 games because of some serious defensive strategy. 2) Carson was MVP of the last game and was even lifted up on the shoulders of several older boys. 3) Daddy got in to a few games and was able to conclude the exercise uninjured!
We haven't posted any impossibly adorable kitty cats pictures for a while. So here you go.
As a reward from one of Carson's summer 5K runs, we got free passes to one of Lawrence's newest gyms. The boys had a great time exploring the workout equipment and the amazing climbing wall.
Yup, there was some punching too.
We promised in the last entry to post some pictures of the great Colorado adventure. Grandma takes one of the boys to an intergenerational trip through Road Scholars each summer. She took Conner on a fossil dig in August and it was wonderful.
You know Conner loved it, and finished the tour as one of two kids labeled as "certain future paleontologists." Grandma got some amazing photos, so maybe we'll do another September entry just for CO pics.
We hope you are enjoying the beginning of another academic year. Summer '14 will be remembered for its lovely weather, fun activities and, well, fishing.
