Outdoor happiness...and kitties
Happy Fall to you All. Today might mark the last non-chilly day for us this year, so it makes sense to highlight some fun outdoor activities:
The first is the boys' Halloween outfits. A food theme this year! The hot dog was commercially acquired, while the pancake was domestically created, with help from Kristina Poracsky's design.
Conner's b-day this year was celebrated with our Kras Connection (Ben and Chris) and other friends at a make-your-own ceramics shop. It was a big hit, and the boys got some fun keepsakes. Can you believe we have a 10 year old in the house?!
Our new 10 year old and Daddy went on a cub scout campout and had a great time. The campsite had a nice fish pond, and if there is anything Conner loves as much as fossils, it's fishing.
Here is a fun pic of him casting with his buddy Sawyer. (who was a pancake for Halloween a few years ago...)
This is an especially odd sculpture on KU's campus that we call The Waffle Iron. Carson called it his personal playground. Kid can climb!
Ok, check this out. We showed the boys this article about some parents who convinced their kids that dinosaurs came alive at night while they were asleep by putting them in various scenes...
...so the boys have been entertaining themselves before Mummy and Daddy wake up by putting their dinosaurs in scenes (a Lincoln Log construction site and a book maze). Cool, right?
Lots of November leaf raking. The boys enjoy burying each other and then bursting out of the pile as if they are rising from the grave, or as if they are ambushing the bad guys.
Well, we're not necessarily looking forward to the cold weather, but certainly looking forward to the holidays. Let us leave you with the other two family members who are now eight months old, and every single night melt their parents' hearts by snuggling up with each other on the couch.
Adorable!
