Lotsa holiday pics

Boy, did we have fun this Christmas! The boys understood what was going on, and definitely got into the season. If pictures really do tell a thousand words, then here are a little over 10,000 words for you!

Here they are, sporting the cool Christmas duds Grandma bought them, and waiting to unwrap presents at Mema and Grandpa's house.

First ever visit with Santa! He was hanging out at the KU Bookstore. Even the big Jayhawk was there, dressed like Santa. Carson was a little leary, but gave him a high five after his brother convinced him it was ok.

What do you think the boys asked Santa for? Keep in mind, they watch very little tv (at least for now) and they don't know how much they need the latest electronic gizmos. Well, they asked Santa for big-boy snow shovels and a set of Lincoln Logs!

Yep, Santa was more than happy to oblige. The shovels immediately got used on grandparents' driveways and our entire neighborhood's sidewalks! These are some snow shovelin dudes.

Santa also brought the requested Lincoln Logs, and the boys have been designing and constructing some mansions. Carson is becoming a master puzzle builder. Here he is doing one that is a map of the U.S.

Not to be outdone, Conner is shown here with his existential abstract Lego mosaic.

We got lots of snow over the holidays, and when the boys weren't shoveling they were building Frosty. They entertained us daily with their version of Christmas carols we attempted to teach them. Frosty was one of their favorites. But the most memorable will be "Snee Snobby Snob," which they asked to hear every time we got into the car. That's Feliz Navidad if you need translation.

Here we are in our finest Sunday outfits during cousin Brandon's baptism. The three CNMs have begun attending church on Sundays while Mummy is taking care of a houseful of bed and breakfast guests. The church is one block from the b&b, so we enjoy saying hi to her when the service ends.

New Years Eve with the Parracks! We got together with our Kras Connection and celebrated New Years and Russian Christmas. It was a blast. We had a fantastic meal (thanks, Tony and Catherine) and the boys had lots of fun playing together, as evidenced by their cheesy grins.

Last, and maybe least, Daddy wanted to be sure everyone knew that we also celebrated the Jayhawks' extraordinary Orange Bowl victory with a few orange bowls of our own. What a wonderful holiday season it was for the Marsh clan. We hope yours was just as fun, and wish you a super, great two thousand eight.
