Conner's fossil blog

Hello, my name is Conner and I like fossils. I am eight years old and on October 26th I will be nine. When I grow up I want to be a paleontologist. I want to show you my fossil collection.

All of my pictures you can zoom in and see the details of each fossil. I got a bunch of these fossils at my school. My school has a rock pit that you can find fossils in. I also found some in the rocks at my neighbor's house. Most of my fossils are from sea animals. Kansas used to be totally under water. Check out the big piece of petrified wood.

Lots of the fossils I find are called "crionids." They look like little beads but they are really sections of the stem of a prehistoric animal. Native Americans used to use them as beads for neclaces. Thanks for letting me share this with you. The end.

Holy cow, that's a lot of fossils! You must have some great eyes to find all those.

You'll have to do some most posts this summer letting us know what you're up to!

Wow! Your school has a fossil bed? That's so cool. I didn't know what a croinid was before. Thanks for teaching me about fossils!
