2011 Christmas and New Years
Hello friends and family!! It has taken quite a while to get our holiday pics up, but here they are. We loved spending Christmas in the newly expanded house and loved hosting the traditional Kras Connection NYE party for the first time!
Here are the CNMs with cousin Alex. She was giving her best angry monster look while the boys offered their angelic monkey look. Or was it sneaky monkey... We had a wonderful time with the Marsh and Bailey families over the holidays.
Opening presents in a blur! We got to put up the big tree for the first time in six years, because the living room is no longer our primary hang out spot! Mummy is an expert at decorating the big tree and it made Christmas even more special.
So many awesome gifts that the boys loved. One of the hits was from cousin Tina. Dinosaur hoodies with big toothy grins on the sleeves!
Conner's fav was the microscope kit including all kinds of cool scientific oddities to discover. Carson's fav was his set of official stacking cups. He can already do the contest cycle in 30 seconds. Faster than Daddy!
Yep, KU basketball. Carson has a higher tolerance for the noise and excitement, plus he is infinitely food-focused, so he went with Daddy to a couple holiday games with one eye always on the consession stand.
The Kras Connection!! Four boys within a year of each other in age who all came to the heartland of the US from the Heartland of Russia. The Parracks have been the wonderful host of our NYE party for four years, and we finally have enough room to reciprocate.
The celebration was complete with a huge yummy dinner, fancy hat decorating, sparklers in the back yard, and a new years toast. Here are more awesome pics of the evening from the Parrack's blog.
It was so fun asking the boys to come up with their own toasts. We had requests for everything from world peace to a yummy breakfast. We toasted with the fancy wine and champagne glasses we inherited from the boys' great grandmother. Sparkling grape juice of course!
This is what many of us look like after a big new years celebration... the boys had a blast, the Parracks stayed the night and we had a big 2012 breakfast to start the year off right. We hope you had a wonderful holiday season and look forward to a great 2012.
