National Champs!
This has been a month-long celebration of the KU basketball team winning the NCAA title. So much fun! Check the April 2008 archives to see how young the boys were the last time.
Mummy had to work very hard this month, because so much of the celebrations took place downtown, where she is in charge. There were perks, though!
Dad got to watch the games with some of his college buddies. Here is Mike Debus with Conner just before the championship game against North Carolina.
Remember those perks we mentioned earlier? Getting a picture with the trophy is cool, but being IN the parade with the team is beyond cool.
In other news, track season is in full swing, and Carson is trying his hand at some new events. Javelin has been fun, but he dominated a 3200 meter race last week, winning first place with ease.
We got to host some special visitors to the house in April. This is Allen Amoto, who sold us the house in 2000. It was his first time back, and Dad enjoyed taking him "around the corner" into the dining room to show off the addition.
Still puzzling, although the boys have curbed their enthusiasm a bit. It is time for us to prepare for summer, and for Conner's graduation from high school. We're still not sure how this all happened so fast...
