Lovin the Fall season
Hey there! Conner is pretty happy to be night fishing, but had to force a smile while being blinded by the flash. It is the tag end of the season, and he is really going to miss his favorite sport!
We always have a tough time with the October blog entry, because so much happens right at the end of the month. So this year we're not waiting till the last minute. We'll put Conner's b-day pics and the Halloween pics (and the Homecoming pics, and...) in the next entry.
Cross Country Carson is flying down the course. This year, he ran against boys from 5th and 6th grade, and even though many were a grade above him, he still did well. This picture is from a race of 70 boys, and he placed 11th.
What is this? Just a picture of a random tree? Well, look closely up towards the top.
Here's a cool idea for a b-day party: grab a soccer ball and a football and go to the high school football field! Credit goes to one of Carson's buddies for this one.
The boys still love exploring the Kansas River banks. Couldn't resist posting this pic of the Stan Herd rock display. You are guaranteed to find some cool rocks if you explore this part of the riverbank.
Conner has really become our bookworm. He pours through entire series that combine science fiction with the lives of animals. He does like history books too. This one is about the building of a huge European castle.
Still scouting! Carson is closing out his cub scouts careeer and deciding whether to join Conner in boy scouts.
Here are the stoic guard-kitties keeping us safe from the squirrels. We hope you are having a great fall season!!
