It's been a busy June
Hi there! Summer is in full swing, and we are keeping busy. The CNMs are growing and growing. Hard to believe in just over two months, we'll have two ten year olds! How do you like Carson's buzz cut?
Our current ten year old has started helping with the lawn! Conner is Mr. Trustworthy. Not only did he mow the whole yard last week, he even edged!
Carson found a friend during a recent visit to the KU Natural History Museum. The bear led him to some of the best exhibits, gave him a behind the scenes...no...no, he didn't do any of that...
Lots of mild weather this early summer. We know the 90s are just around the corner, but for now it has been nice to be outside and jump into a tree whenever one presents itself.
We did have a sad day this month when we discovered Slider, our turtle had died. Carson was very sweet about it, asked if we could go to St. John's and light a candle for her, and even put together a full funeral ceremony for her in our back yard.
One of the New York cousins got married! Tina is not pictured above, but all the Marsh boys are. Carson and Daddy represented the Lawrence branch.
The wedding was at a camp outside of Syracuse. Beautiful country, and lots of fun outdoor activities. Here is cousin Geoff helping Carson with his kayaking.
Totally different lake, same kinds of activity. Conner is becoming a serious fisherman, and this is a day we visited a small KU lake outside of town.
Legoland and SeaLife!! What a great day this was. Both these places are in KC right beside Crown Center. The boys loved the displays and activities at Legoland. There were some creations that took over a million legos!
SeaLife was like a young sibling to Sea World. Lots of awesome aquariums, some of which you could peak into or even walk through! Super huge fish not pictured...
You know they both spent a great deal of time building stuff. In fact, our admission was paid for because they won 1st and 2nd prize at a KU lego building contest!
Conner was able to get a bit of his fossil-finding fix at the end of the SeaLife visit. We had such a great time at these two places. We highly recommend them both.
Here's hoping your summer is filled with trips to the water and relaxing outdoor fun.
