Christmastime 2013
Happy holidays, everyone! 2013 will be remembered as the year we couldn't put the tree and presents in the living room because of the magical tree climbing cats...
Downtown Lawrence always looks great with the Christmas lights in all the trees on Mass St. This year they decided to light up the cool steam engine in the park.
This is the second time the batmobile has appeared in the blog. Our neighbors' son built it and we hope to get a ride soon!
The whole family participated in Santa Con this year. Super Dave runs the show (the very tall Santa behind Rochelle) and we joined them at the Sandbar before they all embarked on their Mass St bar crawl.
"Hiya," said the Natural History Museum Polar Bear. "Come here often?"
Smink is entranced by the Jayhawk basketball team's prowess. Other than having to hide the tree in the office, we really did enjoy sharing the holidays with our kitties.
Carson was a wise man in the St. John Elementary Christmas program. They did a beautiful job and he practiced several nights on his carols. Stood on a stool to perform them for his family.
Only K thru 3rd graders sing in the program, so this is the first and last time a CNM will participate. It was a pretty good looking getup, right?
Christmas eve at the Baileys and Christmas evening at Grandma Marsh's. It was a full two days of opening presents and enjoying the extended family.
One of many, many gifts was a new sled for each boy. We spent a fair amount of the day after Christmas at the Campanile hill on campus. Hopefully, all the new toys and gadgets will help us survive the next week and a half of holiday break. :-)
