Halloween, Thanksgiving, and...b-ball

With two days to spare, we squeeze in a November entry! Feels weird to be highlighting Halloween several days after turkey day. The boys were decked out as dinosaur and knight in shining armor. We had to give constant reminders that knights and dinosaurs are friends...its knights and dragons who don't get along. Sheathe your sword, good sir!

Our neighborhood has a rep for giving out the good stuff. Here is pictoral proof. The bottom left hand corner of this picture is titled "Daddy's stash."

Let us not forget Conner's seventh b-day!! This pic looks pretty similar to another taken just 44 days earlier. The weather was very cooperative, so we got to be in the biggest room in the house...the porch!

Conner cleaned house with cool b-day presents. Both boys have superior building skills (unbiased opinion), but Conner gets the nod for extreme lego abilities. This fighter jet kit was suggested for ages 7-12, and he powered through it in no time. Architect? Engineer?

I know what you're thinking: Mummy and Daddy are starting to get pretty creative with their time outs. No, actually Carson put himself in this situation and was actually quite proud of his little contortionist self. We can't stress enough how wonderful it has been to have such warm fall months!

We all went to a KU b-ball game together for the first time in late November. It was a blast! We had hoped to see Sasha Kaun, an alum of the team from the same area in Siberia as the boys. He had attended the last several games but missed this one. Bummer! Carson even wore his Russian hockey jersey for the occasion.

We got to tour the control room at halftime. That was a treat! The boys were mesmorized by all the televisions. We had to enact the "hands in pockets" rule because there were more buttons and nobs than in an airplane cockpit!

The noise at these games can be pretty extreme, so Conner had earplugs in. When the above picture was taken, Carson was busy collecting shreaded newspaper to throw in the air and annoy the students sitting around him...

The boys got to take some pics themselves, and this one was by far the best. We decided not to offer the extreme close-ups they took of their parents. It was a fun evening and so great for the whole fam to successfully attend a game together.

Tearing up the back steps! All three boys really enjoyed this project. We are preparing for our big home renovation project that will hopefully begin in early spring. We have to clear out much of the back yard, and the CNMs are up for it! We look forward to the upcoming holiday season and hope you get lots of family time, presents and candy!
