Happy 2010
Happy New Year, everyone! The Marsh fam had a great holiday, and we're a little sad it has come to a close. Yesterday was the first day back at school for the CNMs, and we feel like we went from zero to sixty in two days!
The biggest story of the holidays has to be the snow. Holy cow! In one week, Lawrence had about a foot and a half of snow. We did some major shoveling, and the neighbors were happy to discover that the boys still love it. Lest you think their parents are slavedrivers, we did a significant amount of sledding and snowmanning too.
Check out the bling on this king! Carson got promoted from shepherd to king this year. Remember the two shepherds from last year's preschool program? Conner did a good job supporting little bro this year, and Carson did a fine job singing in his kingly robe.
Presents, presents, presents. Everything from Star Wars legos to foam swords to remote control cars. These guys cleaned up! We had a great time on Christmas Eve with Mema and Grandpa, and had fun at home Christmas day (8 inches of white Christmas overnight) and went to Grandma's house for Christmas dinner. How lucky we are to have the extended family just 45 minutes down the highway.
The third annual Kras Connection New Years Celebration! What a blast. We had an awesome dinner with the Parracks (watched Mizzou lose the Texas Bowl...sorry Tony), then played hard before the boys went to bed in tents in Ben's bedroom! That was really cool until they all woke up very chipper at 5:30 a.m...
Daddy convinced them to settle back down till about 7 a.m. (by joining them in the tent), then we had a very yummy french toast breakfast and enjoyed the Parrack's new Wii. Rounded out a fantastic new years with brunch at the Nolte's. The boys loved the attention from the Nolte girls and their two new puppies. Bears mentioning: NYE was the 10 year anniversary of the best decision Curtis ever made: proposing to Rochelle!
We've said it before: these guys are puzzle masters!! Here is the before...
...and here is the after! They have 16--count 'em 16--Disney puzzles, and they can fly through each of them. This is one of the biggest, with 500 pieces. We did a lot of indoor activities this holiday season, and continue to do so with temps in the single digits. The family is doing well, except for a mild case of cabin fever. We are so thankful for wonderful friends and family. Hope you all have a fabulous start to the new decade!
