Bulldozers and Baby Jay

Conner says hello, as he does his best "Kilroy was here" impression. The Marsh family has been outside every single possible minute this month. We've had some great weather, and great activities. Our street is still filled with bulldozers and cement trucks as they take up the 100 year-old brick and re-lay them. As we mentioned in the last entry, the boys got to express their excitement on our local cable news station.

We finally got to meet Baby Jay! What a hit. Big Jay was a bit daunting for Carson, and he seemed to be the only one we'd see up on campus. But as you can see above, the boys got to spend some quality time with Baby Jay thanks to the Alumni Association's graduation party. Want to see more? Check out this party pic website.

This picture reminds us of the days when Carson used to insist on pushing his brother around the block in the red wagon. We don't use that wagon much anymore, since the boys are a combined 70ish pounds. And just in case you're wondering, we haven't yet asked them to mow the lawn. That's an electric mower in the picture, with the extension cord nowhere in sight!

Conner stole the show at the alumni graduation party when he initiated a game of peek-a-boo with Big Jay. Notice the crimson and blue crocs. Yes, they've been immersed in more KU stuff than an average spring usually provides, but this hasn't been your average spring in Lawrence.

So, we wish you peace, love and rock chalk forever. The boys will start pre-school in the fall, at a lovely place called the Giving Tree, which is run by a friend of the family and is located just a few blocks from home. Hard to believe that school is just around the corner. We constantly wonder if we've done enough to prepare them. Just this morning, Conner told his Mummy that when he gets older, he will drive to the "place with the money" for her, and Carson said he would do the laundry. Good boys!
